SUMMARY

It is important to keep your system up to date with the latest patches, as "hackers" will always try to find a new way to break into your system and get to your valuable information. Also some of these patches will also make your system run better and add new features to it!

PROCEDURE

While on the Internet... Click the Start button and scroll up to Windows Update.

Clicking that should bring you to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com  (Win98SE and newer)

Windows 95 and Windows 98 OEM should go to Windows Downloads

Follow the prompts to download the critical updates and any other recommended updates that you may want!
